Situated in sylvan Surroundings, Vellalar College of Education for Women, was started in the year 2005, exclusively to train women students as teachers. The institution has obtained approval from the NCTE and permanent affiliation from the Tamilnadu Teachers Education University .

The vision of the Vellalar Educational Trust in establishing this college of education is, to train the students to be the best teachers with a social consciousness, so that society at large can benefit ultimately
