CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Citizenship Training Camp
The Citizenship Training Camp was organized at Karaparai,
Thindal for five days from 27th Sep 2010 to 1st Oct
2010. It was a total residential camp. Daily activities
of the camp commenced by 6.00 am and ended by 8.00 pm.
Daily activities included Yoga, Culturals and campfire.
During the camp, students visited Kongu Arivalayam,
Erode and spent one afternoon with them and served them
their noon meals on 28th Sep 2010. The same day they
visited the Govt.Museum at Erode.
The following services were rendered and awareness campaigns
conducted.
- Cleaning of the school campus
- Planting trees
- Food and Nutrition Awareness
- Literary Awareness Program
- Eye camp
- Awareness program on Fire and Rescue by Tamil Nadu
Fire and Rescue services.
Internship
Students were trained in Micro Teaching Techniques
from 9th Sep 2010 to 23rd Sep 2010. Demonstration classes
were conducted to the students in Macro Teaching on
25th August 2010 in vellalar high school. Under the
guidance of experienced teachers. The students underwent
internship in different high schools and higher secondary
schools for forty days from 4th Oct 2010 to 30th Nov
2010.
Pre Commission
In order to familiarize our students with practical
commission, a pre commission was conducted on 20th April
2010. The students displayed their teaching learning
materials. Our professors interacted with them and made
them confident to face their commission.
Test and Examination
On completion of each unit, the students were given
unit tests in all their subjects. They took model examinations
in the first week of April 2011.
Sports and games
The students were divided into four houses and intramural
games have been conducted. Track and field events were
conducted. Those who came in the first three places
were honoured with prizes and certificates. The winners
and runners were awarded prizes. All the students actively
participated in sports.Teaching and non-teaching staff
members also participated in games and won prizes. It
was quite interesting to witness. |
