The University practical examinations of B.Ed. were conducted on 19 th & 20 th June 2009. The external examiners have appreciated the work of the students. The students displayed enormous number of visually attractive and educationally valuable teaching aids which were appreciated by all who witnessed.

The practical viva for M.Ed. were conducted in 20 th may 2009.

On 30 th December 2008 students were taken on a tour to Amaravathi Dam Crocodile park, Thirumoorthi hills, Azhiyar dam and Maasani Amman Temple . This tour enriched the knowledge and it was a splendid experience.

The College magazine Vaaraahi 2008 is a completion of creative droplets of students and faculty members. It brings out the vision and mission of our Institution pays homage to the past trust members reveres the present trust members who are the cause and inspiration for the constant progress of our institution.

COLLEGE UNION

The college union was inaugurated on 26.8.2009. The elected office bearers took the oath of office.Thiru.S.S.Kandasamy,President, Vellalar Educational Trust, Erode, Thiru.S.D.Chandrasekar, Secretary and correspondent, Vellalar Educational Trust ,Erode,

Dr.M.L.Sengodan, Principal, Vellalar College of education for women, Mr. Pon.Kumar Chief Educational Officer, Erode were present on the occasion.

The college union had been active arranging cultural events like drama, dance, quiz, poetry recitation, singing, mimicry, celebrating days of importance, arranging guest lectures etc.

Under the aegis of the college union several competitions like oratorical, essay, painting etc. were conducted and prizes awarded.
