EXTENSION PROGRAMME

Placement Fair

A placement fair was arranged in our college on 11 th February 2011 . More than 15 schools in and around Erode participated. 49 students were spot selected and issued appointment orders. This is the number of students who opted for going for jobs. Others opted to remain at home for sometime and some others to go for higher studies.

Parent Teacher Association

Parent Teacher Association meeting was held on 15th July 2010. Office bearers of the Academic year 2010– 11 were elected, Mrs. A.Sagunthala as president and Mr.G.P.Karthikeyan as secretary. Parents took part in all functions of the college. Mrs. P.Shanthi Assistant Professor in English Education was nominated as the techer's secretary.

Planting trees in Karaparai School Campus

Mr.S.D.Chandrasekar, Secretary, Vellalar educational Institutions Mrs.Kokilavani Manivannan Chairman, Panchayat Union Erode and prominant guests participated in the function of planting the saplings in Panchayat union Primary School campus, Karapparai.

Visit to Kongu Arivalayam

In the afternoon of 27th September 2010, the students went to “Kongu Arivalayam” the house for mentally retarded children, served lunch and contributed some basic useful things for the children.

Eye Camp

The eye camp was conducted on 28th Sep 2010 in Panchayat Union Primary School, Karapparai. Dr.Saleem Laug of “Arasan Eye Hospital” delivered the special address on the "cataract”. The free eye check-up, treatment and medicines were provided to the Karaparai people.

Visit to Museum

On 28th sep 2010 afternoon at 2.30pm, students visited the Govt.Museum, Erode. In the museum the students saw the various art and architecture, paintings and collected information.

Awareness Programme

Selvi.P.Alagammal, Dietician of Erode Lotus Hospital addressed on the topic “Food and Nutrition”. She explained about the natural food and she insisted the natural food is essential for healthy living of the people on 29th Sep 2010.
Our college students went to the Karaparai Village and met the village people to create awareness on “Necessity of education” among the village people.
