Velalar College of Engineering and Technology is one of the pioneering engineering colleges in erode in tamilnadu having seven under graduate programmes and six post graduate programmes in science and engineering. The college is ten years old and has already taken action in research activities. Faculty and post graduate students have contributed good number of research papers. About seventy faculty members have registered for Ph.D degree while already there are twelve Ph.D degree faculties. Many faculty and students will be registering shortly for higher degrees.

With this background the college is interested in organizing national conferences in all the disciplines to have an interaction with scholars, industrialist and faculty all over the globe with the interest of enhancing the research activities further to enable modernization in the engineering and science.

The national conference is scheduled on 17th March 2012 with the themes for the individual departments or a cluster of departments as furnished below.
